My decision was not built on sentiment. I was not concerned with whether the cattle in question were likely to meet a "humane" end… I became a vegetarian because cutting up animals and eating the pieces suddenly seemed a bizarre way to live. I make no complaint against people who take a different view. And I certainly do not suggest that my position is more moral than theirs.
