Two of my office mates are from India (Ranjana and Kurian) and one is from Russia (Anatoly). Apparently, during the Soviet years, many Indian films were imported to Russia and Anatoly thought they were very good. Ranjana and Kurian say that these days Indian films are more commercial but Kurian is going to loan me tapes of classics.
